here’s your daily reminder that
- you aren’t worthless
- you’re worth more than you think you are
- you mean a lot to someone
- you’ve done something to make someone laugh or smile
- you’ve laughed and smiled
- you’re good enough
- you deserve to be happy
- you’re allowed to be sad
- you’re you and nothing can change that
- and there’s no one else you need to be

Disney used to be on point. Idk wtf that Shake It Up and A.N.T Farm crap is. Even second generation Disney had SOME core to it; Early Hannah Montana, Early Suit life of Zack and Cody and Wizards of Wavery Place. Even Sonny with a chance was ALRIGHT. Now they’re just getting desperate. That’s so Raven taught things like ^THIS. Now the only thing Disney talks about is boy crushes. Lizzie McGuire had a variety of different episodes, And one episode was even about Miranda having an eating disorder. Something SERIOUS that people can ACTUALLY relate to.Then there was Phil Of The Future and Even Stevens- Mainly for entertainment as opposed to teaching moral lessons, But at least they were creative and entertaining. This new crap is just pathetic.
This.
Preach.
AMEN.

Raven Symone’: The pressure of society.
Finally a celebrity who says the real reason
Submitted by iwillloveyouwhenpigsfly
I’ve always loved Raven. I liked her better when she was heavier. I keep trying to show my 4 year old sister “That’s So Raven” because she has darker skin than me (she has a different father) and all the other shows she watches feature stick-thin white girls. I want my sister to grow up without that pressure; without feeling like you should look like the people on TV. One day, she even asked my older sister, “When am I going to be your color?” She’s young; she doesn’t understand all of the natural differences yet. I struggled with self-image as I was growing up and I don’t want her to feel the same thing I did.

Please, everyone who thinks being “fat” is “ugly,” listen:
It’s NOT. Be proud of what you have, and stop thinking that “skinny girls” are beautiful. Everyone can be beautiful. The way to start is to first EMBRACE YOURSELF AS YOU ARE. Confidence is way more sexier than just being thin. I’m not putting down thin girls, I’m just defending the people who actually get put down most of the time by all the various forms of media.
There ARE people who will like you, and it won’t be “because you’re fat.” I know plenty of people who like women (and men) of all sizes because of their confidence and comfort with their appearance.
So, please. Stop worrying. Stop hating.
